Spanish wine exports pass 2-billion-litre mark for first time ever.

In the first semester of 2011 Spanish wine exports were up 29 per cent by volume and 20 per cent by value.


According to a report from the Spanish Wine Market Supervisory Board (OeMv), Spanish wine exports were up in the first half of the year registering spectacular results. Sales increased during the period 29 per cent by volume, representing a total of 1,037.9 million litres, and 19 per cent by value, registering a figure of €802.7 million, in comparison to the first semester of 2010. These results have led to the year-on-year figures from July 2010 to June 2011 passing the 2-billion-litre mark for the first time ever.

Shenzhen will hold four wine fairs in a new space aimed for selling, promotion and consume of wines.

These wine fairs will be held in a new 40000 m2 wine selling area. The plan is to hold four annual wine fairs, starting out in the next year.


The place is named "Shenzhen International Wine Hub", and was inaugurated in the end of May, The platform is divided into three main areas.


The first one will be focused on retail and wholesaling wine, the second one will provide information and other promotions. Finally, the third area will have bars and other places to enjoy the wine at its best.
