In 1998, a group of nine wine enthusiasts sets out to establish a winery in a region with a rich terroir and the singular goal to make incredible wine. Led by Peter Sisseck, with winemaker Jérome Bougnaud at the helm, the group founded Quinta Sardonia in the village of Sardón del Duero, located in Castilla y León, adjacent to D.O. Ribera del Duero.

The Quinta Sardonia partners vowed to be respectful to the terroir, using biodynamic principles to create a remarkable wine that would honor the region and the indigenous grapes that grow there. Everything has been cared to the millimetre in order to extract the full potential of a land located on the banks of the great river of wine, keeping the utmost respect for the environment and its surroundings.

Its wine is already being proclaimed by some as “Spain’s next cult wine”.
