The Bodegas El Nido project is the result of the collaboration of the Gil Family and Chris Ringland (one of the best Australian enologist and author of Clio and El Nido) and others. The winery is located in the Valley of La Aragona, inside the Múrcia district of Jumilla and surroundings. The vineyards are 64 acres of old Monastrell vines, all vaso trained and oriented northeast and 45 acres of Cabernet Sauvignon, planted 25 years ago on smooth hills looking north.

The grapes are picked in small crates to prevent damage and subsequently undergo a quality control process in a selection table, all overseen by Chris Ringland. Production is limited and the wine remains in a selection of French oak and American quality for 24 months.
