“….These are brilliant, expressive, vibrant, liefe affirming wines that brim over with character as well as a sense of place.” – Neal Martin, Wine Advocate
“Estrecha” meaning “tightness” is the name of the single vineyard plot of only 1.2 hectare which according to the winery has the a great potential to show the Bobal grape variety with greatest finesse and elegance. The name refers to the low density of vines in the vineyard, thereby keeping yields naturally at a low level. The wine is made of 100% Bobal grape variety which perfectly adapted to the environmental conditions and climate of that area. The soil consists of calcerous clay with excellent drainage and the vines have an average age of 75 years. As with the other wines of Bodegas Ponce, this wine is also biodynamical, unclarified and unfiltered, only indigeneous yeasts are used during fermentation. Very limited production of 1.800 bottles.
