Aalto

Aalto is the confirmation of one of the great Ribera del Duero wines . It is intense, elegant, fresh and deep. An extraordinary wine with a great life ahead. Undoubtedly, a great wine. This emblematic wine perfectly represents a winery which, despite being fairly new, consistently receives a huge amount of recognition both from enthusiasts and specialist wine critics. Unquestionably, a wine of great balance and complexity, full of vigor and personality. This wine is made of old Tinto Fino (Tempranillo) vines with an age of 60-100 years. The grapes are harvested by hand and go through a meticulous selection in two sortingtable conveyor belts. Fermentation takes place in three types of deposits: stainless steel, wood and concrete. This accounts for a further complexity of the wines. Oak ageing takes place in two underground cellars that provide perfect stable temperature throughout the year. Aalto is aged for 20 months in 50% new French oak barrels, while the rest is 50% French and American oak, up to three years old. The wines are not clarified, in order to maintain their full purity. Once bottled, Alto stays in the cellar for a few additional months.
