Honoro Vera Garnacha

Released for the first time in 2011, Honoro Vera Garnacha comes from old vine vineyards. The slate and gravely clay loam soils of these 60-80 year old vineyards produce wines with an attractive cherry note embra¬ced with the minerality of the old vines vineyards. It is made of 100% Grenache within the D.O. Calatayud. It is a young red wine with an excellent evolution. The grapes come mostly from old vineyards with low yields, located high on the hillsides, 700-1000 metres above sea le¬vel. The vineyards are planted in mainly decomposed slate and gravely clay soils. The fermentation was carried out in stainless steel tanks and then spent two months in French oak barrels.
