La Atalaya

It is made of Alicante Bouschet, a local variety of this area. The elaboration of this wine is in charge of the Spanish-born Australian winemaker, Frank Gonzales. In May 2011 and coinciding with Fenavin, Jay Miller tasted some wines from this area. He awarded the Atalaya 2009 with 92 scores. A very nice, diferent wine. A pleasure. It is a pleasant wine, refreshing and original. Elegant, tasty and diferent wine with its own character. Its vineyards are planted at about 800m altitude on limestone soils. Aged 12 months in French oak barrels.
