Product Description
Mauro is located in Tudela de Duero, a historic town in the province of Valladolid which is situated 19km from the Capital, in the heart of the Duero Valley, on the banks of this great river which surrounds the village in the shape of a horseshoe.This Ribera town has a long winemaking tradition. The fame and the history of the wines stretches back to 1562 when Felipe II made the town exempt from taxes due to the quality of the wines.
In the vineyard no herbicides or pesticides are used. The auxiliary fauna is respected to the maximum and the natural reserves of the vineyard.
The grape harvest is carried out using 20 kg boxes. The winery is located in a large, old, 17th Century house in Tudela de Duero, where wine used to be made in olden times. It is has since been renovated and is equipped with state-of-the-art technology used in wine production.
The tanks are made of stainless steel, truncated cone-shaped, holding 12,000 L. The grapes are selected once inside the winery, Fermentation is carried out independently for each vineyard and grape variety and maceration with skins varies between 4 days and three weeks depending on the harvest. 20% of the cellar stock is renewed each year.

Fragrance, discretion and aromatic complexity, red and black fruits prevail with some hints of vanilla from the oak.
VdT Castilla y Leon
Full body wine with a firm structure, very well balanced and smooth
tannins. Red fruits prevail with also some hints of Vanilla. The finish is very long and persistent, a great wine for ageing or enjoying now.
16 months in new French and American oak barrels.
Traditionally paired with lamb or game. Also cured meats, roasted pork and mature cheeses are great pairings for this wine.
