P.F. (Pie Franco)

P.F. meaning “ungrafted” or “standing on its own feet” and it is the flagship wine of Bodegas Ponce. It is made of 100% Bobal grape variety which perfectly adapted to the environmental conditions and climate of that area. The vineyard of “P.F.” is of lime and sand soil with more than 80 years of age, and comes from different plots called P.F. Lincha, P.F. Gallo and P.F. Santiago. All parcels are vinified separately. The most interesting of this biodynamical, unclarified and unfiltered wine is its equilibrium and harmony in which always the true fruit characteristics prevail together with sweet tannins and minerality of the soil. Limited production of 9.000 bottles.

Intense cherry and blackberry scents, black currant and cranberry are complemented by tarragon, black tea and violet. Herbal notes of rosemary and thyme are also present.

D.O. Manchuela

Full body and very round, the palate offers and effervescent entry. Very fine tannins, very pure aroma, rich dark fruits dominate together with the natural rusticity that the expresses the terroir.

10 months in used French oak of 600l.

Traditionally paired with lamb or game. Also cured meats and cheeses.
